FLNRO's review of the Federal/Provincial harmonized Aquaculture Application is focused on the Crown land proposal for disposition of the land for aquaculture purposes.

Note that topics such as proposed species, production rates, rearing methods, fish health and marine habitat concerns fall under federal jurisdiction and are therefore outside the scope of the provincial tenure review process. Although information may be shared between the agencies, questions or comments regarding such subject matter will not be considered by the Province and should be directed to the appropriate DFO email at Shellfish.Aquaculture@dfo-mpo.gc.ca or Marine.Finfish.Aquaculture@dfo-mpo.gc.ca. Any concerns related to navigational issues should be directed to Transport Canada at pacnwp-penpac@tc.gc.ca.

You may also provide general comments about the management of the aquaculture sector via the Fisheries and Oceans Canada Integrated Management of Aquaculture Plan and associated advisory bodies. Please visit DFO's website at: http://www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/aquaculture/index-eng.htm
