Location: 30 km south of Valemount on Highway 5, in the east portion of BC.

This is an application for a general area under the Land Act and a water license under the Water Act for one run of the river hydroelectric power site on the mid to lower section of Dora Creek. Dora Creek is a small drainage of approx. 14.5 km2 with the headwaters being dominated by a large glacier and its a tributary of the Albreda River. The general area encompasses components: a high pressure penstock, tailrace, powerline, staging areas and access roads. The applicant has submitted an application for the proposed land components as well as a water license application to run water through a a turbine to generate the power. The locatation of the components may change at a later date. Please see attached management plan. |
