Location: 36 km north of Blue River on Highway 5, in the east portion of BC.

This is an application for Crown land tenures and a water license for one run of the river hydroelectric project on the lower section of Paradise Creek that flows from Paradise Lake. Paradise Creek is a small drainage of approx. 5.7 km2 with the headwaters being dominated by the 10 ha. Paradise Lake and is a tribuitary of the North Thompson River. This application is for a general area which includes components: intake, high pressure penstock, powerhouse, trailrace, powerline, staging areas and access roads. The applicant has submitted an application for the land components as well as a water license application to run water through a turbine to generate the power for energy production. However, land components locations may change later. See attached management plan. |
