BC Hydro currently holds a Licence of Occupation on this site and would like to change the tenure type to a Statutory Right of Way.

Kwadacha First Nation has been actively engaged with BC Hydro in planning the Electrification Project, and is in full support of the project. Kwadacha First Nation and BC Hydro have agreed on how to proceed. Kwadacha has asked BC Hydro to take over the provision of electricity service so that Kwadacha will have a reliable, adequate and affordable electricity supply to further its community development plans. As a result existing electrical facilities serving the community need to be upgraded to meet BC Hydro requirements. Kwadacha and BC Hydro have worked together to identify the project¿s site suitability on Crown land being applied for.

Operations may include the removal of merchantable timber and other vegetation from this application area.
