Keefer Lake Wilderness Resort Inc. (KLWR) is applying to add helskiing and cat skiing to its list of approved adventure tourism activities. Its lodge and operation is located approximately 70 km east of Vernon in the Monashee Mountains.

KLWR has contemplated heli-skiing and cat-skiing activities on at least 2 occasions in the past 10 years and now, by forming a business relationship with Kingfisher Heliskiing, has engaged the capacity and expertise to develop a plan to execute these activities.

If approved, the continued expansion and improvements to both facilities and activities will allow KLWR greater economic viability by providing a safe, recreational facility for their clientele and the general public, as well as in creating jobs in the tourism sector.

KLWR is committed to safe, environmentally and socioeconomically sustainable operations.
