[PENDING : APPLICATION UNDER REVIEW]

Client: YCS Holdings Ltd.
Purpose: QUARRYING/SAND AND GRAVEL
Region: Omineca/Peace, Prince George
Agency: Crown Land Allocation
File: #7409869

Sept 21, 2016

Location: Dog Creek
Area (Hectares): 6.0
BCGS Mapsheet: 93K.029
Legal Description: Unsurveyed Crown Land adjacent to part of DL 2986 in the vicinity of Dog Creek, Range 5, Coast District

The project as proposed is a long-term development of a 20 yr aggregate extraction operation, taking place on a fairly flat area of approx. 6.0 ha of unsurveyed Crown land in the vicinity of Dog Creek. Approx 25,000 m3 per year will be extracted, starting April 2017. The mining and pit operations will be seasonal between April and the end of November, with activities driven by demand. The required operating areas for this development consist of stockpiles, crushing, washing, screening and asphalt production areas and access roads. The first year of operations will involve clearing the site for establishment of appropriate operating areas. An initial mining area of approx 3 ha will be developed over the time period of 2017-2021 and will continue to be developed from a south to north direction, with widening to the east and west as required. Initial extraction area will have a max height of 7 meters, as per Code. Following the initial, the mining faces will be reduced to a max height of 3 meters within the final development area. During development, a 5 meter buffer will remain between application area boundary and other portions of adjoining land.
The LoO application will require logging of both older and second growth forest, therefore, operations may include the removal of merchantable timber and other vegetation from this application area.
Please see the Licence of Occupation Management Plan along with the Mine Plan for details regarding the development and operations of this aggregate (sand and gravel) project.
