File: #2411853

Feb 23, 2017

Location: Sechelt Inlet

BCGS Mapsheet: 92G071
Legal Description: THOSE PARTS OF DISTRICT LOTS 3735, 3736, 3987, 4592, 6643 AND THOSE PARCELS OR TRACTS OF LAND IN THE VICINITY OF DISTRICT LOT 3734 AND 5661, TOGETHER WITH UNSURVEYD FORESHORE OR LAND COVERED BY WATER BEING PART OF THE BED OF SECHELT INLET, GROUP 1, NEW WESTMINSTER DISTRICT

This is an amendment application to File 2411641 to allow for optimization of the proposed transmission line for the Narrows Inlet Hydro Project. The Project is composed of three components, one on
Chickwat Creek and two on Ramona Creek. They are located approximately 50 km north-east of Sechelt, BC on the Sunshine Coast and accessed by water only. The electricity from these three facilities will be transmitted from a substation at the head of Narrows Inlet to the Point of Interconnection near Ruby Lake, north of Sechelt.

The purpose of this amendment application is to expand the existing land tenure for the shared 138 kV transmission line to include additional land required for access and right-of-way clearing. During the detailed design phase for the 138 kV transmission line, it was discovered that the current ROW is not wide enough to permit sufficient tree clearing and does not cover all required access roads.
