This is an application for a Specific Permission for Private Moorage.
The applicant, Matheson Chambers, is being represented by Adam Thomsen of Green Wave Marine Services Inc. The applicant is the upland owner. Access will be from this private upland.
The proposed tenure area is 0.12 Ha +-
The property was purchased with the existing moorage system already in place. Proponent is applying for a private moorage tenure so that it is in compliance with Provincial regulations and so that the system is not considered in trespass on Crown Land.
Existing improvements include:
- Concrete stairs ? 15 total - Concrete abutment ? 7? x 6? formed to bedrock - Treated timber approach ? 37? x 6? - Concrete approach support ? 14? x 7? x 2? - Aluminum gangway ? 34? x 3? - Seasonal treated timber private moorage float ? 30? x 12? - Two stiff leg anchors
This proposed moorage system will be used only by the upland ownersapplicant and their guests. This tenure will not be used for commercial purposes and no income will be generated. The moorage will be used year-round, and increased traffic is expected in the summer months.
