Applications and Reasons for Decisions (ARFD)

[PENDING : APPLICATION UNDER REVIEW]

Client: Hunter Creek Hydro Limited Partnership
Purpose: WATERPOWER/GENERAL AREA
Region: Lower Mainland, Surrey
Agency: Crown Land Allocation
File: #2411952

Aug 1, 2017

Location: Hunter Creek
Area (Hectares): 1.178 +- ha
BCGS Mapsheet: 92H033
Legal Description: THAT PART OF SECTION 33, TOWNSHIP 4, RANGE 21, WEST OF THE 6TH MERIDIAN, YALE DIVISION OF YALE DISTRICT

Hunter Creek Hydro Limited Partnership (HCHLP) is currently constructing a Run-of-River Hydroelectric Project (the Project) which is an approximately 10 MW hyower facility located about 10 km southwest of Hope, BC (Crown Lands file # 2408242).
This application is an amendment to Licence 242843 (File # 2408242)
which is a Licence of Occupation
(LOO) issued to Hunter Creek Hydro LP (HCHLP) in support of
constructing the components of the Hunter Creek clean energy water power project (the Project).

Outside of HCHLPs control, the
tenure over a land parcel held by
MOTI in which HCHLP had approval to construct a portion of the Projects transmission line was
changed by the Province. This parcel of Crown land is now managed by MFLNRO as a FSR right of way. As such, HCHLP is now required to secure an amendment to LOO 242843 in support of construction the aforementioned portion of the
Projects transmission line within the FSR right -of-way.
FLNRO adviced HCHLP to submit this new application for the amendment of the GAL area to include the projects transmission line within the FSR right -of-way.
