Shaw is proposing to build a submarine optical cable to feed Bowen Island with expanded Shaw services from North Vancouver. Shaw has an existing Tenure (File No. 2411061) from Bowen Island to the edge of the District of West Vancouver head lease (File No. 0010236). Originally Shaw was going to obtain a sub lease with the District however it was determined that registering this with the Province was a better proposal for all concerned. (see attached letter from the District of West Van) A
This will be for a 100m corridor on either side of the proposed route to allow for flexibility during the installation. Upon completion, as-builts will be provided and a 10 m corridor on either side of the installed route will be requested for the final easement.
This application will be for a standard licence leading to a Statutory Right-Of-Way easement.
