Applications and Reasons for Decisions (ARFD)

[PENDING : APPLICATION UNDER REVIEW]

Client: Bear Cabin Retreat Ltd.
Purpose: RESIDENTIAL/PRIVATE MOORAGE
Region: Lower Mainland, Surrey
Agency: Crown Land Allocation
File: #2412044

Jul 6, 2018

Location: Halfmoon Bay
Area (Hectares): 0.089 +-
BCGS Mapsheet: 92G051
Legal Description: UNSURVEYED FORESHORE OR LAND COVERED BY WATER BEING PART OF THE BED OF SECRET COVE, GROUP 1, NEW WESTMINSTER DISTRICT

This is an application for a Specific Permission for Private Moorage in Secret Cove.

Proposed term: No fixed term.

The Applicant, Sean Killoran is the titled upland property owner and the application area is proposed to be accessed by this upland property.

The proposed Tenure area is .093 hectares.

There are no existing structures at the proposed site.

Proposed improvements include a 8x86 timber frame float fastened to four steel anchor piles, a 1.5m x 12m aluminium ramp, a 4 x 50 aluminium gangway with metal grate decking, and a 6x2 concrete abutment. The rationale for the size of this dock is that the proponent owns two 40 boats that they need the moorage space for, and nearby moorage facilities cannot accommodate this size of vessel safely.

Use of this dock will be year round, with a slightly larger volume of traffic in the summer season.
