Legal Description: DISTRICT LOT 2803 AND THAT PART OF THE SURFACE OF DISTRICT LOT 7920, SURVEYED AS THE CLAIM KNOWN AS MCMAC 14, MCMAC 15, MCMAC 17, MCMAC 23 MINERAL CLAIM, GROUP 1, NEW WESTMINSTER DISTRICT

 

The Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development (FLNRORD) has received an application under the Land Act for the conversion of three Licences of Occupation to Industrial Leases at Watts Point, in Squamish. Currently the applicant holds Land Act tenures that are non-exclusive use (licenses of occupation), and the proposal is to change the tenure type to exclusive-use (leases).

The three Licences of Occupations that are being requested to be converted to Leases are File 2406801, 2407858 and 2407425.

 File 2407858 ? Foreshore Upland for Industrial Uses (Barge facilities)
 File 2407425 ? Aquatic Foreshore

Further to the Land Act conversions the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources (EMPR) has received an application under the Mines Act for a Notice of Work (NoW) Major Amendment to a Mine Plan. The applicant produces dimension stone and aggregate from the Watts Point area and wishes to expand operations.
