Location: The project is located along the shore and adjacent to the SS Sicamous Marine Heritage Park in Penticton.

The project calls for the installation of steel pipes (sleeves) over 6 existing wooden pilings that have deteriorated. The current piles have been home to the CN Tug #6 for the last 12 years. The sleeving of the piles is necessary to insure the tug has proper and safe moorage for ongoing restoration work and future access as a floating museum. The tug # 6 was built in 1948 and has been used to push barges loaded with rail cars from Penticton to Kelowna till 1973.The SS Sicamous Society is an non for profit Organization in charge of Restoration and Maintenance of the following vessels: |
