Applications and Reasons for Decisions (ARFD)

Region: Omineca/Peace, Prince George
Agency: Crown Land Allocation
File: #7409380

Nov 15, 2010

Area (Hectares): 319
BCGS Mapsheet: 93G.084, 93G.094
Legal Description: District Lots 1117 and the NW 1/4, DL 1113 Cariboo District

Currently the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George and others are evaluating the potential suitability of sites in the Prince George area for industrial uses.
The Ministry of Natural Resource Operations (MNRO) (previous name; the Integrated Land Management Bureau (ILMB)) is supporting this initiative by reserving lands while the evaluation is ongoing. The act of reserving these lands will prevent tenuring these sites under the Land Act for other land uses (i.e., no development is being considered at this time). We do anticipate, however, that portions of these lands may be selected for future development opportunities. As such, MNRO asks that you consider potential conflicts with the future timber harvesting, lease and/or sale of these lands.
