This application is for construction of a mobile concrete batch plant on 0.51 ha of Crown land within the applicant?s existing Crown Lease near Pemberton, BC.

The applicant, which currently operates an aggregate sand and gravel mine on site, intends to use some of the mined aggregates to supply a concrete batch plant for serving Pemberton and the surrounding area.

In order to mitigate environmental impacts, water sprays will be installed at dust generating points to prevent wind borne dust. Further, a dust collection system will be installed. Run-off is managed through an existing water management system on site, including berms and sediment ponds.

The applicant will be following the Code of Practice for the Concrete and Concrete Products Industry as per BC Environmental Management Act.
